Fashion and Flowers

It's Wednesday noon at the Breeze office and Eddie is making sushi, Angie is videotaping and before we know it, we're on the air streaming live (www.chaffeybreeze.com). Nothing much is happening, except for our demonstration of sushi gluttony.

Never fear! Our intrepid editor gathers up the Breeze staff to reconnoiter the Quad. Something's afoot (besides the Breeze staff.) We walk into a set decorated with denim pants and moderated by an emcee exclaiming, "Ador
able! Adorable! Work the runway! Isn't that cute?!!?" It seems there's a fashion show in the Quad.

The models are showing off recycled denim outfits in an annual show during Black History Month. The full story will be in next week's edition of the Breeze.

Some unexpected drops from the silvery sky fail to dampen the spirit of the show but they do manage to water the wildflowers that grow on the Rancho campus. Like the flowers adorned in denim, these blooms cry out to be photographed. What else can I do?
